Republican Aaron Penman promised the community he would get to work and protect our kids from inappropriate images, text, and literature in our school libraries; working with the community he has delivered on his promise!
Penman helped lead the committee to create the “Evaluation and Selection of School Library Materials” policy. The proposed procedure will now ensure:
- Proper review of material by a professional school system Media
Specialist - Ensure students are only able to view age-appropriate content
- Provides for a proper review by a committee if parents are
concerned with the material in their child’s school library - Ensures that parents are able to be part of the process
Councilman Aaron Penman is working to protect our children and support traditional values by helping to keep disturbing material out of our school libraries and away from our children.
