Amy Caprio, Baltimore City Police Officer, End of Watch, May 21, 2018

My heart is heavy for the family, friends, and fellow officers of Officer Amy Caprio—a Fallen Hero.

Officer Caprio was a dedicated member of the Baltimore County Police Department about to celebrate four years of service. She bravely made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and security of our citizens.

We all owe her a debt of gratitude for her selfless-service.

We will continue to keep Officer Caprio’s family, loved ones, her brothers and sisters in blue, and the entire Baltimore County community in our prayers.

I congratulate the Baltimore County Police Department, and all of the allied agencies involved, for the swift apprehension of the four suspects—their excellent police work is truly the best way to honor her memory. I stand united with the BCPD as they begin the healing process.
